70% of Men Look At Pornography (OLD)

Pornography Statistics

*Edit : These are old statistics. To see the newer statistics that shows 90-99% of men, go to my newer post by clicking HERE *

These are some more recent statistics from all around the world (and some old stats taken before smart phones) that show a general pretty consistent 70-80%-ish range of men look at porn at the very LEAST once a month. Addicts are notorious for lying about the frequency of porn use, kinda makes you wonder what the REAL percentage is.

Although most of these studies dont say for sure how many men self identify as addicts (ha addicts RARELY do at first), for us to assume that a man can watch porn at LEAST (at least) once a month without being addicted is unlikely. Possible? Yes. But REMEMBER, the qualification of addiction is not based on frequency, it is based on the "continued repetition of a behavior/rewarding stimuli despite adverse consequences.", and pornography has been compared to heroin, it's THAT addictive and damaging to the brain.

But if heroin is so addictive it often hooks people in within the first few times they use it, is it really that hard to believe pornography can do the same?

I don't know, ive been addicted to a drug medically 100x more potent than heroin, and in my experience pornography was far more addictive and damaging to my brain than any drug has ever been. After 8 years of sobriety my brain is STILL healing :(

(***Fyi, sadly these stats are generally the same within the LDS Church as well, we must not think we are exempt. LDS therapist and director of Lifestar Dan Grey said “We suspect that the LDS community is not any different from the rest of society when it comes to prevalence or magnitude of sexual addictions". I also suggest you read Elder Jeffery R. Holland's talk HERE )
